Co-founded by Beck Brachman, PhD (CEO) and Victor Greiff, PhD (Director of Computational Immunology), with Raymond Alvarez, PhD (Director of Immunobiology) rounding out the founding triad, Imprint Labs isn’t just chasing symptoms, they’re decoding immune memories like vinyl collectors digging through crates. Their goal: find the hidden tracks buried in our Bcells and T cells that reveal the why behind autoimmune disorders, long COVID, and neuropsychiatric diseases that have gone unsolved for decades.
Born in the brains of Cornell Tech’s Runway Startup Postdoc Program, Imprint didn’t come out the gate pitching equity or chasing headlines. They launched with intention, and with backing that speaks volumes. Props to Eric Schmidt and Wendy Schmidt, Convergent Research, Peter Reinhart, and NYCEDC’s LifeSci NYC Expansion Fund for seeing the vision. This round isn’t about hype. It’s about infrastructure, high-throughput immune cell profiling, experimental pipelines, and machine learning platforms that treat immune data like the Cold War intel it is.
This team isn’t rolling out products. They’re deploying tech to reconstruct immune histories across time, solving disease mysteries that have eluded science by treating the immune system as a living archive. You don’t get that from spitballing in a WeWork. You get that from purpose-built talent like Meimei Shan, MD, PhD (Senior Sequencing Scientist), Julien Limenitakis PhD (Computational Immunologist), and Philipp Fleig, PhD (Senior ML Scientist) building datasets so powerful they’re more classified than open source, for now.
